About White Oak Care
We're a UK supported living provider built on a simple promise to put the person at the centre of every decision, every plan, and every day of support.
Our story
White Oak Care was founded on a belief shaped by years of working inside the UK social care system that the people we support deserve more than a service. They deserve a life that feels like theirs.
Too often, we saw care models built around schedules, paperwork, and funding bands rather than the person sitting in the room. We started White Oak Care to change that. To build something where dignity isn't a value on a wall it's how every decision gets made.
Today we provide supported living for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex needs across the UK. The team is growing. The values aren't moving.

Our mission
“To make person-centred supported living the standard not the exception - for adults across the UK.”
We do that by training teams properly, listening before we plan, and refusing to compromise on safeguarding, dignity, or honesty.
What we stand for
The six values that shape every decision we make.
Dignity
Every person is treated as a capable adult with rights, not a recipient of care.
Independence
We support people to do things themselves wherever possible not to do things for them.
Choice
The people we support lead their own plans, routines, and lives.
Safety
A safeguarding-first culture, with clear reporting routes and trained staff.
Inclusion
We work for a life of real community relationships, employment, education, and belonging.
Honesty
We tell families, residents, and professionals the truth including when something needs to change.

How we work
Four practices that sit at the heart of every service we run.
- Person-centred planning. Every support plan starts with the person their goals, communication style, routines, and what a good day looks like. Diagnoses inform the plan; they don't define it.
- Positive behaviour support (PBS). Where behaviour communicates an unmet need, we use PBS to understand the message and respond proactively, not punitively.
- Strengths-based working. We start with what the person can do, what they enjoy, and what they want next and we build from there.
- Family involvement. Families are part of the team, not visitors to it. We share openly, listen carefully, and stay in touch.

Regulation, training, and safeguarding
We hold ourselves to the standards the people we support deserve.
- Regulatory compliance. Where the services we deliver require Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration, we are registered. Where supported living models do not require CQC registration, we are transparent about that and operate to equivalent standards.
- The Care Certificate as a baseline. Every support worker completes the Care Certificate. From there, we layer specialist training in autism, learning disabilities, mental health, PBS, medication administration, and safeguarding adults.
- Safeguarding-first culture. Named safeguarding leads, clear reporting routes, and a zero-tolerance position on abuse and neglect. Concerns can be raised confidentially at any time by residents, families, staff, or professionals.
- DBS-checked staff. All staff are subject to enhanced DBS checks and ongoing suitability reviews.
